Another Great Year at Seawork

As always, the Seawork International 2014 event went very well for Cygnus, with a lot of interest in the new Cygnus DIVE underwater thickness gauge.
Seawork International 2014 was the second exhibition this year where the new Cygnus DIVE underwater thickness gauge was displayed, and there was certainly no shortage of interest. The Cygnus DIVE was demonstrated to a number of visitors including Blue Peninsula Marine Ltd and Robert Thomson, Director of Thomson Test Ltd, who had also bought along his collection of corroded metal samples to test out the new single-echo option.
The Cygnus DIVE was also being demonstrated in the Seawork Dive Tank and as you can see, one of the most striking improvements is its super bright AMOLED display. The bright AMOLED display was built-in to make it easily viewable, by both the diver and his camera, in the poorest of visibility.
As well as the new display, Cygnus have introduced a Single Echo, Twin Crystal probe option to assist in certain specific applications. These include where there is extreme front and back wall corrosion, on anchor chain links and plastic dredging and outfall pipes. Another great feature is the updated topside and reporting software, CygLink. Measurements taken and stored in the Cygnus DIVE, then transferred to CygLink for future interrogation, can be displayed in colour 2D or 3D representations or transferred into a spreadsheet program e.g. Excel™.
