Oceanology International 2018 has been a massive success for Cygnus Instruments this year, with an extremely high level of interest in our new ultrasonic Flooded Member Detector (FMD) together with DIVE and our ability to measure on heavily corroded steel underwater using twin crystal probes.
Graham Haines, Cygnus’ Business Development Director, said “the genuine interest for a truly professional ultrasonic FMD system, both for ROV and diver deployment, was so encouraging to see”.
During the show Graham and Matthew Hayes were virtually non-stop, discussing visitor’s requirements and applications while also catching up with many of Cygnus’ global distributors from within the subsea industry.
Graham and Matthew would like to say a big thank you to everyone who visited our stand at Oceanology and we look forward to seeing you again!
About the Cygnus FMD System
Designed and built with over 30 years of underwater inspection experience, the new Cygnus FMD system can be used by either diver or ROV to detect whether members are dry or flooded. The unit is extremely easy to operate and thanks to two years of investment in algorithm and software design, the system highly accurate and reliable.
