One of our key strategies for Product Development is to: Use Operations-based Technical Support.
Last year we restructured in order to move all Technical Support out of our Design department and into Operations. This allowed more focus on engineering projects and two-way support between Design and Ops.
Right now, during lockdown, this is serving us better than ever. Our Ops team has access to all our samples and test equipment at Cygnus House and our Design engineers, working remotely, are drawing on their testing resources for design support.
We also continue to work closely with long-standing, external design partners, all specialists in engineering disciplines. Fortunately, they are all continuing to offer their services and Cygnus is able to continue Product Development and provide Engineering Support as usual.
Cygnus is appreciating the flexibility and commitment from all our teams, suppliers and subcontractors. It is still our plan to expand our Design team this year, through the recruitment of another Senior Design Engineer.
